About Stay Gold

Owner-operated short-term rental business shaped by art, travel, food, and craft.

Stay Gold Hospitality is a short-term rental management and hosting business built around a simple idea: places should feel alive. People can tell when a space has been thoughtfully made, carefully maintained, and genuinely cared for — and they respond accordingly.

Where this comes from

I’m Peter Sieve. I’ve been hosting and operating short-term rentals for over a decade, but hospitality wasn’t something I came to through real estate alone.

I’m a working musician and a food writer. I’ve toured nationally as a guitarist, and I publish Meal Magazine — a print journal focused on long-form stories about people through food, culture, and place. Alongside that work, I’ve spent years building and rebuilding spaces with my own hands.

I’ve gutted and remodeled entire units myself. I’ve designed and built decks, saunas, kitchens, cabinetry, concrete countertops, and custom furniture. These aren’t abstract ideas about design — they’re the result of living with spaces, refining them, and understanding how people actually use them.

How that shows up in the spaces

I care deeply about how a place feels when you walk in. Light, texture, flow, and atmosphere matter. My properties are never sterile. They’re designed to feel vibrant, welcoming, and lived-in — the kind of spaces people settle into quickly and remember after they leave.

Over the years, I’ve hosted everything from casual stays to high-ticket, curated dinner parties in my own backyard — events that brought together chefs, bartenders, and guests around food, conversation, and place. That sensibility carries through to every stay: thoughtful details, real warmth, and a sense that someone is paying attention.

What guests respond to

After enough time, clear patterns emerge. Many guests return again and again. Reviews consistently mention how the spaces feel — and how refreshing it is to stay somewhere that doesn’t feel corporate or interchangeable.

Guests also appreciate local context. I share neighborhood food and drink recommendations the way a local would — not a guidebook — pointing people toward the places they’d miss without an insider’s perspective.

That combination of design, care, and local knowledge shapes the experience as much as any amenity.

What that means for owners

That same sensibility carries through to management. Thoughtful design attracts better guests. Hands-on care supports long-term durability. And disciplined systems allow everything to scale without losing its soul. I automate what should be predictable and stay personally involved where judgment, care, and hospitality matter.

Across markets, Stay Gold–operated properties consistently outperform comparable listings in both occupancy and overall revenue — not because of gimmicks, but because people genuinely enjoy staying in them.

A note on fit

Stay Gold works best with owners who care about their property as a place, not just an asset. The approach favors consistency, longevity, and guest experience over short-term maximization at any cost.

It’s intentionally not the right fit for every property — and that clarity benefits everyone involved.

If this approach resonates and you’d like to talk through whether Stay Gold is a good fit for your property, I’m happy to have a conversation.
